The Turing Test was a test of a machine's ability to exhibit intelligent behavior equivalent to, or indistinguishable from, that of a human. It was first proposed by computer scientist Alan Turing to separate AI from humans.

Imagine you're chatting with two different "people" through text messages. One is a real person, and the other is a computer program trying to act like a person. You don't know which is which. If the computer program is so good at chatting that you can't tell it apart from the real person, then it has "passed" the Turing Test.
Turing thought it would take centuries for AI to pass the test. He was optimistic that humans would continue to be the smartest, most innovative species for hundreds of years, before AI could even come close.
ChatGPT passed this test in 2022. Like, easily. Like how easily Alan Turing would crush a 5th standard math test.
Humanity is doomed.
But its clear - we can never beat the machines at any intellectual pursuit. I mean, have you talked to the average human?

We need to rethink what it means to be human. For this, I propose a new test to distinguish human from artificial: The Kriti Sanon Test.
In the 2024 masala film Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Kriti Sanon plays a robot. She fools the main character played by Shahid Kapoor into thinking that she's human.
And she dances like this.
In real life, this is the state of the art when it comes to robots.
If we go with the Kriti Sanon Test, we wont have to worry about humans being replaced by technology any time soon.
